I did a bit of research on "Age of Sail" while awaiting Ed's reply. The game is a real time simulation of naval combat in the sailing ship period. It can be played head-to-head via a modem connection, but cannot be played PBEM. That actually does not work for me as the specific time that I have to p...

I do miss my naval games. I generally prefer WW2, but have commanded many a French ship under sail over the years. I have never played an Age of Sail battle on the computer, but would assume that it resembles the game in miniatures. Is it a good game, Ed? I have long ago moved from Talonsoft to JTS ...
