Re: Friedland & Borodino Article

Mark I am opposed to your plan as it would cause much suffering and death to the horses. A much more effective alternative would be to launch a salvo of Katyusha rockets from our donkey mounts to fly over the heads of the French cavalry. The screams of our braying donkeys mixed with that of Katyusha...

January 2019 Quarterly Report-Russo Swedish War

Quarterly Report from the GHQ of Bonaparte’s Bane The Russo-Swedish War of 1808-09 This war featured pitched battles, some sieges and many small rear-guard/skirmish actions in some of the most difficult terrain of the Napoleonic wars. The Russo-Swedish war saw the breakup of the Swedish-Finnish unio...

Re: My Favorite Napoleonic Artist

Vladimir Thanks for sharing this amazing artist's works. The action paintings and sketches are stunning and the uniform details superb. The detail is as good as my favorite artist of Napoleonic Cavalry, Pierre Conrad. His plates can be viewed on Pintrest at https://www.pinterest.ca/sueandjohnrowle/p...

Re: Two against Two Battle

Alexandr and I would like to propose Campaign Marengo, scenario #81-Novi. Hopefully, we can make Marshal Suvorov proud.

Quartely Dispatch: Bonaparte's Bane GHQ.

I have always been fascinated with the two Napoleonic campaigns waged in Poland from December 1806- July 1807. The first campaign was fought in exhausting winter conditions, while the second occurred during a wet and muddy spring and summer. My favorite Napoleonic historian, Alexander Mikaberidze, h...

Re: Multiplayer Games

I support Vladimir's proposal, especially for scenario 168.Messkirch, 42 turns. The scenario description also notes that this is the most balanced scenario in the game.

Re: Multiplayer Games

I agree with Walt.
I think multi-player games should focus on scenarios in which there is between 24-50 turns, sufficient forces to be divided between team members (ideally 2) and sufficient space to permit some maneuvering.

Re: Capitaine Mark Oakford - Dispatch

Mark
Congratulations on your promotion to Captain and also on your signature image selection. In my opinion, there is no finer artist of the First Empire's cavalry than Pierre Conrad. I also promise to keep your sabre will polished while hanging above my mantel.
